Oklahoma State Contractor License Regulations
Minimize

Construction work is regulated in the State of Oklahoma. Contractors should check with their local counties for information on required liability insurance amounts. Oklahoma does not license construction contractors, there is a registration packet available on line in Adobe PDF format, click here.  Workers' Compensation insurance is another requirement and you can find out more information for compliance at Oklahoma Department of Labortoll-free statewide at 888-269-5353.  If you are a non-resident contractor you must post a 10% bond of any contract you receive within the state. You will also need an EID number from the Oklahoma Tax Commission and the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. To obtain an application for an out-of-state contractors license, click here, or call the Oklahoma Tax Commission at (405) 521-4437. All contractors are required to pass the OSHA exam.
